Safe Work Methods Training

Proper Lookout - continued

The most injured part of the human body performing work related activities are the hands. We use them for just about every aspect of work. Our fingers get pinched, cut, jammed, caught or pounded. They can become exposed to harsh or even hazardous chemicals.

Thus, it is critical that employees “look out” for hazards anywhere they will be placing or using their hands. Look for pinch points, cutting hazards, heated surfaces and hazardous materials.

Keep your hands free from injury by evaluating for hazards the places you are going to put them.
